How to Remove Seized Bolts on your Sea-doo Jet Pump?

Facebook - Untitled

We have been working on a 2004 Seadoo GTX 185 Supercharged for a couple weeks now. Today as we were reinstalling the pump on the rear of the jetski after replacing both the steering and reverse cables we noticed all 4 bolts that hold nozzle on the pump were sheered off. The only thing holding this on was a little salt water might.

Could have been a really serious problem for the next owner. Safety Problem!!!

But here at Surgeon Motorsports we make sure every ski is a safe as we can make it before it leaves us!!

WELD A NUT ONTO THE SHEERED BOLT-

HEAT THE NUT / BOLT WITH A TORCH FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES-

BACK THE BOLT OUT APPLYING JUST ENOUGH FORCE TO GET IN TURNING, MAKE SURE NOT TO SNAP BOLT OFF.

APPLY ANTI-SIEZE TO A NEW BOLT AND RUN IT IN AND OUT SLOWLY TO CLEAN UP THE THREADS - YOU CAN ALSO USE A TAP TO DO THIS AS WELL( PREFERRED)
